Visa Business Analyst, North America Merchan in San Francisco, California
Visa’s North America Merchant team is seeking to hire a Business Analyst committed to understanding and solving Client needs, applying strong problem-solving skills, collaborating with team members every day, and working with NA Merchant and Product team members to achieve success with our newest solutions. You will join an exciting initiative to improve our technical sales effectiveness while bringing the best of Visa’s value added services to Merchant clients and partners. You will become a key part of transforming the ways we work together as One Visa to create value for NA Merchants. The role creates the opportunity to learn and develop skills in client solutions, new product sales, and value added services go-to-market. This role invites a collaborative, positive, challenging and growth mindset – and offers team experience as a founding member of a new team in the Merchant and Product organizations in our North America region, with unique exposure to sales and product team members aligned together to accelerate the market opportunity for Visa’s newest solutions. This job reports to VP, New Solutions in NA Merchant and the opportunity to work with Visa leaders in Product, Merchant & Acquiring business units. Responsibilities: *The Business Analyst is a key member of our Merchant sales organization and will: * Play an active role in the sales process through the preparation of materials for solution presentations, white boards and other Client communications * Collaborate with sales engineers, account executives, partners and Product organization team members to define and identify new sales opportunities among NA Merchant clients * Collect, analyze, present and communicate information about Visa’s value added services – specifically related to product-market fit, new use cases, sales team readiness, customer sentiment * Team with Visa sales engineers and account executives in supporting sales and winning deals with Merchant clients * Partner with Visa product organization to contribute and amplify activities specified by the go to market for Visa products relevant to the Merchant landscape and drive subsequent opportunities * Grow as a client sales professional and a thought partner by: o Building knowledge of Visa products and services and sales methods o Being creative by identifying and highlighting key partnership opportunities with Visa products and products/solutions from Visa affiliates and partners o Recommending changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on listening to client feedback and understanding new trends. o Working with account teams to ensure sales teams are well educated and up to date on relevant products and services. o Working across the vertical team s to develop and execute customized sales plans that increase Visa share of value added services and new flows revenues * Foster in-depth and productive relationships within Visa and clients’ organizations * Share best practices and learning with the Merchant sale engineering team as well as with other analysts and team members within the NA Merchant organization *Unique Knowledge and Skills: * Interest in payments, ecommerce, IT and Merchant processing environments – recommended 3 years or more of relevant experience and 1 year with an advanced degree * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships across all levels of Client leadership and working teams * Keen interest in innovation and technology * Superior writing and communication skills * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * Desire to foster a diverse, inclusive working environment at Visa – and across Visa partners, clients and industry associations This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs. Basic Qualifications: • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) Visa has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees and visitors.
