Join our client, an innovative investment management firm specializing in debt investments, as an Assistant Controller.

Some Responsibilities of an Assistant Controller Include:

  • Monthly/quarterly closure of credit funds.

  • Daily finance reporting on performance, valuation, exposures, and counterparty exposure.

  • Coordinating administrative tasks, internally and externally, for information/documentation provision.

  • Drafting portfolio reporting for lender requirements under credit facility agreements.

  • Preparing quarterly GAAP financial statements for specific legal entities.

  • Managing annual audited financial statements and related tasks, including coordination with administrators and providing necessary documentation.

  • Collaborating with Tax Director on quarterly tax estimates, annual tax work, and tax structuring projects.

    Requirements

  • MUST live in the Bay Area

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • CPA or in progress.

  • Experience in public accounting or alternative asset management industry.

  • Background in Credit/Fixed Income assets.

  • Familiarity with investment partnership accounting.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented, team-oriented, hardworking, self-motivated, confident, organized, and analytical.

  • Experience with SS& C Geneva and Recon systems preferred
