Quantum-Si VP, Operations in San Diego, California

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this individual will be responsible for Reagent Manufacturing, Chip Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Build, scale and oversee internal reagent manufacturing operations and chip manufacturing operations

  • Serve as primary point of accountability for all activities related to the manufacture and distribution of products including production planning/scheduling, inventory control activities, fulfillment and logistics, issue resolution, scope change and change implementation.

  • Directs operational management/oversight of the end to end supply chain networks that support commercialization of our products including existing CMOs and the integration of new suppliers

  • Sales and Operations planning for a complex, vertically integrated supply chain including an appropriate multi-tiered inventory optimization strategy

  • Lead, optimize and manage the day to day operating mechanisms of the Operations organization including all internal and external cross functional meetings and processes.

  • Develop and execute a supply chain and manufacturing strategy aimed at driving significant improvements in customer satisfaction, gross margins and inventory turns

  • Oversee contract manufacturing partners for instrument manufacturing and semi-conductor chip fabrication

  • Oversee customer order fulfillment

  • Oversee and implement a system for all company purchasing

  • Conduct business reviews and implement and monitor supply chain performance metrics

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) to drive operational and economic performance improvement

  • Support the development and implementation of commercial distribution plans and return strategies

  • Manage operations organization budget, ensuring cost effective deployment of resources as well as keeping control of expenses and cash.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Bachelors’ degree in science or engineering field. Production processes are highly technical.

  • 10 years of operations experience required

  • Prior direct management experience of production and supply chain preferred.

  • Proven ability to recruit, develop and motivate a high performing team of manufacturing and supply chain professionals as the business scales

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a start-up environment with minimal process and infrastructure in place – you are building it

  • Hands on, detail and action oriented.

  • Proven ability to work with key functional business leaders to refine the design and execution of an organization’s forecasting, demand planning, inventory management and order fulfillment processes.

  • Strong understanding of international logistics and trade compliance

  • High energy leader who is creative, objective and has impeccable integrity

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $270,000 - $320,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
