System Design and Integration Specialist (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a System Design and Integration Specialist in San Diego, CA . The successful candidate will install complex, highly available and scalable, on premise and cloud logistics software solutions for customers, including deployment configuration support, Linux administration, as well as troubleshooting system software and components. Deployment architecture utilizes Docker containerization, and Oracle Database 19c. This position will be based out of San Diego, California and require domestic and international travel up to 50%.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads customer software installations and deliveries.

  • Troubleshoot application deployment issues.

  • Supports customer go-live efforts, both on-site and remote

  • Works closely with customers throughout their user acceptance testing, addressing any issues that may arise.

  • Conducts regular reviews of software configuration best practices and improvements.

  • Develops technical documentation, including operating procedures and tailoring documents.

  • Responds to customer inquiries and documents issues.

  • Conducts or supports product demonstrations and/or technical reviews with the customer.

  • Conducts customer administrator training and instruction, both classroom and over-the-shoulder. Provides support to workshops, test events, training development, data collection and integration and development of technical and functional documentation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Supports implementation of best practices within the software deployment process.

  • Collaborate with software development team on deployment of containerized applications.

  • Evaluates and researches new technologies while staying abreast of industry trends.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with modern software development methodologies and ability to automate processes

  • Experience with Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes

  • 1+ years experience with Azure solutions design and deployment of enterprise-scale applications

  • Experience with automation and provisioning of isolated/air-gapped environments

  • 1+ years of experience with administrating Linux

  • Experience with Oracle and Postgres DB

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with GOLDesp software

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).
