Insight Global Sr. Data/ML Engineer in San Diego, California

Job Description

An employer in the underwriting insurance industry is looking for a Sr. Data / Machine Learning Engineer to join the team and sit fully-remote. This person will be responsible data optimization and execution--they will conceptualize and build data lakes in Azure, utilize Python libraries for data pipelines and cleaning, and collaborate with business teams to absorb project requirements. They will help automate underwriting processes by integrating web platforms with SQL databases, as well as leverage historical data for efficient decision-making. Lastly, they will establish ML Operations practices, including model deployment and monitoring, and transition conceptual designs into production-ready tools.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of relevant professional experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or ML Engineer.

Proficient in building robust data pipelines using Python and Spark.

Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Able to design and implement data lakes within the Azure ecosystem.

Strong skills in cleaning and preprocessing data.

Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.

Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.

Experience in developing and deploying ML models.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices - able to integrate data from various sources into a unified repository. Familiarity with NVIDIA DGX A100 systems and their application in data-intensive environments. null
