Senior Software Application Developer (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Senior Software Application Developer in San Diego, CA . In this role you will lead the development, documentation and maintenance of software application architectures across platforms in order to meet customer, functional, and/or regulatory requirements, quality objectives, and constraints specific to the applicable domain and available technology.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for project management including schedules, plans, and estimates

  • Prioritize tasks and leads reviews. Assist project leads with risk management and progress reviews

  • Develop software designs and algorithms

  • Defines external interfaces

  • Lead trade studies

  • Perform Computer Software Component (CSC) requirements change assessment

  • Ensure application of best practices

  • Review statements of work, conduct estimation reviews and manages risks

  • Translate contract requirements into work requirements, processes and tasks

  • Manage customer and supplier relationships and contacts suppliers and subcontractors to exchange technical data and to discuss project performance

  • Participate in the development of fundamental approaches to projects and requirements for implementation

  • Lead development, maintenance, and unit tests for software applications

  • Lead architecture decisions and best practice implementations using current and emerging technologies

  • Participate in internal/external design reviews

  • Lead integration/test efforts of software applications and creates overall integration plans

  • Leads development, selection, tailoring, and continuous integration and continuous delivery of software

  • Determine research directions and pursues related opportunities with internal/external organizations

  • Leads proposal efforts

  • Provides expertise on resolution of regulatory and domain operational and integration issues to internal/external customers

  • Support issue resolution, leads root cause analysis for all software issues, identifies opportunities and implements process improvements

  • Define and helps implement strategies for the software application teams.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with software architecture and software implementation

  • Experience with Java/Java Script

  • Experience with Spring Framework

  • Experience with RESTful Services

  • Experience with Hibernate

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture

  • Experience with data modeling/fabric

  • Experience with Azure “Well Architect Framework” principles

  • Experience developing Cloud-native applications

  • ReactJS experience preferred

  • Automation and Orchestration experience preferred

  • DevSecOps experience preferred

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary base pay range $114,000 - $137,000
