Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Senior Accountant - Accounting in San Diego, California

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing accounting and financial reporting functions in accordance with generally acceptable accounting principles and RCHHC policies. In addition, the Senior Accountant will assist with the annual budget, audit, and tax compliance. The Senior Accountant is self-motivated; able to work independently; provide leadership when necessary; multitask and meet deadlines; and seeks opportunities for continuous process improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

5 years of experience

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Proven accounting skills and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis

Experience and proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration

7 years of experience

Certified Management Accountant

Certified Public Accountant

Experience with People Soft and Hyperion

Not-for-Profit Experience

Healthcare Accounting Experience

Public Accounting Experience

The expected hiring range for this position is $37.63 to $51.75
