Jacobs Project Engineer - Buildings in San Diego, California

We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Project Engineer to grow with our team. As a Project Engineer on our team in San Diego, CA you’ll have an opportunity to work on active projects coordinating the progression of trades and design-field staff. You will participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings follow projects from commencing of construction to occupancy by end users. Based at a client site, you will oversee that all work completed by contractors and consultants is of the highest quality with safety being our highest priority. You will also provide support to the Project Manager and project team with document control, meeting minutes, scheduling, RFIs, RFQ, submittal reviews and change order negotiations. Through this role you will have the opportunity to work on multiple fast-moving projects and larger, long-scheduled projects. Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

'- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects

  • Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) - Experience with healthcare construction sites (OSHPD1, OSHPD3)
