SAIC Principal Systems Engineer in SAN DIEGO, California

Description

SAIC is looking for a Principal Systems Engineering to provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the planning, implementation, and management of Information Warfare programs and projects within the Program Executive Office, Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence (PEO C4I). Ideal candidate will provide high quality engineering advisory services as they relate to evaluating requirements, program technical roadmaps, acquisition documentation and policies, Fleet Capability gaps, and resource planning (POM). This position will be on Onsite in San Diego, CA.

JOB DUTIES:

· Analyze required warfighter capabilities to determine System of System requirements, alignment of requirements to PEO C4I programs, identify integration requirements, define risks, and develop capability roadmaps to meet warfighter needs.

· Assess acquisition documentation (Acquisition Strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Acquisition Decision Memorandums, etc.) and the briefs that support them to advise the PEO on maturity of the documentation and any risks to successful program execution.

· Conduct objective analysis to identify Information Warfare capability gaps in support of multi-domain mission threads as well as Naval and Joint warfighting guidance. Engage senior fleet tactics experts through the Warfare Improvement Process to communicate findings and align analysis with prioritized fleet gaps.

· Provide systems engineering and technical support for ongoing Information Warfare and advanced technology developments and policies to the PEO C4I Technical Director.

· Interface with various levels of program leadership: Program Managers, project managers, task and functional leaders, and product owners.

· Provide technical and operational expertise to synchronize PEO C4I domain roadmaps into a single cohesive Information Warfare development picture.

· The Contractor shall provide subject matter expertise support in meetings, technical working groups, technical exchange meetings, and leadership update briefs.

· Communicate requirements, work products, progress, and deliverables schedules to senior level civilian and military personnel.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or math and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience. Applicable years of experience is acceptable in lieu of advanced education.

· Active TS/SCI Clearance to start.

· Must be a U.S. Citizen

· Prior Military experience with DoD C4I systems

· Prior experience with unmanned systems and unmanned payloads

· INCOSE ASEP/CSEP

· Experience using the Cameo System Modeler

· Understanding of PEO C4I / NAVWAR organizational structure, programs of record and mission focus.

· Understanding of PEO T / PEO U&W / PEO A / PEO JSF / NAVAIR organizational structure, programs of record and mission focus.

· Understanding of airborne C4I architectures

· Familiarity with the Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process, especially the OPNAV process that supports PPBE.

· Basic familiarity with DoD and U.S. Navy acquisition documents and the DoD 5000 series acquisition process.

Target salary range: $155,001 - $165,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
