KBR NATEC Technical Analyst in San Diego, California

Title:

NATEC Technical Analyst

KBR is seeking NATEC Technical Analyst to join our Team. This position supports the PMA-265 Finland and Switzerland F/A-18C/D FMS programs in NAS North Island, CA.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, organize, plan and administers various phases of day-to-day technical data management in the areas of planning, programming, budgeting, funding, requirements generation, quality assurance, contract administration, distribution and change control programs using established US Navy procedures.

  • Analyzes basic contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related areas to determine the technical publication requirements necessary for maintenance personnel supporting assigned Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

  • Process requisitions for manuals and drawings from international customers. Manage international customer Foreign Distribution Requirements Lists (FDRL).

  • Assists in the establishment of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans for DOD weapon systems/equipment.

  • Evaluates the impact of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and associated Technical Directive (TD) deliverables to overall technical data requirements.

  • Assists in advanced planning that will enhance timely distribution of technical publications and technical directives.

  • Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost controls. Specifically, in the development of qualitative and quantitative analysis to substantiate logistics support policies, procedure, and concepts as well as to identify support system requirements.

  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree in Business, Management plus 8 years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline is required. At least 4 years of experience must be in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development.

OR

  • An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience

OR

  • An additional six (6) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.

  • An active secret level security clearance is required.

  • Specific knowledge of FMS and Defense Security Assistance Programs is desired.

  • Must have knowledge and experience of US Navy technical publication systems.

  • Knowledge of military standards depicting publication formats, fonts, photography, microfilm capability and presentation styles for technical publications and knowledge of DOD Instruction 5010.12-M, the NAVAIR 5600 series of instructions and the NAVAIR 00-MIL-T-31000, MILSTD-100E, MIL-STD-1806, ASME14 series instructions, assigned weapon system manufacturer's product design documentation procedures and MIL-STD-3001, are desired.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Acquisition and Sustainment of technical data management and sustainment processes. (00-25-604, NATEC Technical Manual Application System (TMAPS) database) Technical Manuals (TMs)/ Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) from traditional paper/Portable Document Format to IETM’s.

  • Sanitization procedure guidelines, protocols, and pertinent policy directives and documents (SWP-009).

  • Foreign Disclosure policies and processes/ data protection (Foreign Disclosure Manual (FDM).

  • Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Technical Directives (TD), as well as feedback received via Technical Publication Deficiency Reports (TPDRs).

    Basic Compensation:

    $118,500 - $148,100

    This range is based only for the San Diego, CA area

    The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
