Serco Mid-Level Logistics Analyst in San Diego, California

Position Description

If you desire an opportunity to help the Navy and Military Sealift Command (MSC), Serco has a great opportunity for you! As an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Analysist you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of the latest ships in an established class of expeditionary seagoing vessels.

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain, maintain or transfer your Secret clearance post-employment.

Serco supports the US Navy and MSC via a subcontract that leverages decades of experience with the acquisition and design of multiple ship platforms for both organizations.

You will be part of a team committed to providing demonstrated expertise in program management, engineering, logistics and post-delivery support. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and the safety of our sailors.

In this role, you will:

  • Support our Navy client by developing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technical manuals based technical publications, equipment manuals, supplemental and Vendor Furnished Information.

  • Assist in the maintenance of ship configuration data.

  • Prepare provisioning packages to identify the initial ship’s spares and repair parts based on technical manuals, technical publications, equipment manuals, supplemental and supplier information research.

In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $68,974.77 to $112,085.42; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of technical writing/logistics support experience.

  • Must be able to obtain, maintain or transfer an active DoD Secret clearance post-employment.

  • Must be US citizen.

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.

  • Ability to grasp technical / engineering data and assess its compliance with commercial technical manual standards.

  • 10% travel required.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • Navy Provisioning experience

  • Experience with Navy or MSC configuration and logistics information systems and processes

  • US Naval Shipbuilding, Amphibious Ship and/or Sealift Ship experience
