Maintenance Technician III - 058 San Diego, CA, USA Req #269 Monday, April 8, 2024 U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management services firm, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operations in San Diego, CA area locations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: With little to no supervision, performs maintenance and repairs applying mastery of tradecraft skills in the area(s) of specialization. Operates and maintains mechanical and electrical systems and equipment that supply the building with heat, power, ventilation, air conditioning, and/or refrigeration, and other environmental systems. DUTIES: Clean and prepare equipment for inspection; make periodic inspections of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems as established by the facility operational procedures; repair or replace broken or worn machinery parts. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing comprehensive preventive maintenance procedures. Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested, and completing work orders per instruction. Adjust equipment and systems with a view toward conserving energy. Responsible for all water treatment equipment, chemicals, and tests Maintain operating logs on all equipment; record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences. Share their knowledge of all systems with MT I and MT II. Foster a team with open communication and coaching attitude Perform all duties in a safe manner, follow all safety procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. Must be flexible in work schedule to work weekends when needed. Willingly perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as requested. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. Seven to ten years of experience. Preferred maintenance experience in one or more of the following trades or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience: Industrial Facility Maintenance, Industrial HVAC/ Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair. Ability to lead others when necessary Knowledge of drywall, patch, and paint. Knowledge of electronic door locking mechanisms. Knowledge of facility mechanical systems such as heating and ventilation, plumbing, and electrical. Knowledge of machinery and equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, and hoists. Experience in operations and maintenance in an industrial, large commercial, or logistics distribution environment. Ability to work with no direction at times. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks. Friendly, cooperative, customer service-minded attitude; team player. Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
