We are currently seeking a full-timeMaintenance CNC Electronics Technician I for the 2^nd^shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) at our Kearny Mesa location.

What does the job involve?

The Maintenance CNC Electronics Technician I perform a variety of moderately complex tests on electronic components to determine functioning level and capacity. Maintains, repairs, and/or installs electronic, electrical, and mechanical components on CNC machines and other production equipment. Performs maintenance on assigned production machinery, including modifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving electronic, electrical, mechanical and operational problems.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Maintains, repairs, modifies and/or installs electronic, electrical, and mechanical components on production equipment. Modifies, builds, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electronic and electrical instruments of computer numerical control machines.
  • Diagnoses causes of electronic, electrical, or mechanical malfunction or failure of operations equipment.
  • Repairs and/or replaces defective or faulty components or equipment parts and reassembles equipment.
  • Performs routine preventative or corrective maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly, using test equipment and following manuals, specifications, or schematic diagrams.
  • Inspects, examines, operates, and tests machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Read manuals, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly and/or repair.
  • Records periodic electrical testing and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
  • Reviews production schedule and performs necessary adjustments during a time that least impacts production.
  • Records maintenance and repair work performed. Analyzes and records test results and prepares written testing documentation.
  • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, works overtime, when necessary, follows directions from a supervisor, interacts well with co-workers, understands, and follows work rules and procedures, works safely, complies with corporate policies, goals, and objectives, accepts constructive feedback, establishes goals and objectives, and exhibits initiative and commitment.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings or diagrams.
  • Attention to detail; thorough and dependable with completing assigned tasks.
  • Mechanical aptitude required, knowledge of machines and tools. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Ladder Logic and printed circuit boards (PCB)

What qualifications should I have?

Education:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 ye rs of related experience.
