JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the RN/Licensed Care Provider, the LVN is responsible for applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care. The LVN provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. The LVN demonstrates clinical competence in performing, assisting and/or documenting tasks and procedures with excellence and quality, per department standards, regulatory guidelines and within scope of practice using age/developmental appropriate approach. The LVN implements plan of care, provides patient and family teaching, follow-up, and discharge (after visit summaries) instructions with excellence and quality, per departmental standards and within scope of practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma from an accredited LVN program

Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

PEARS Certification (Issued by American Heart Association) within 6 months of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of pediatric experience

Bilingual Spanish

The current salary range for this position is $27.39 to $40.68/hr.

A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
