Actalent Kaiser Phlebotomist in San Diego, California

Description:

Phlebotomists/Lab Assistant needed for huge medical group. Must have six months to one year of experience on all ages from neonatal up. Hospital/acute/inpatient experienced preferred. Must be comfortable with floating from location to location daily and split shifts at different locations. Must be comfortable drawing 40-50 patients per shift. Need strong customer service skills to uphold value of organization. Must be computer proficient, ideally with prior experience with LIS and cerner.

Schedule: available between 6am to 11pm every day of the week.

Skills:

Phlebotomy, Blood draw, Venipuncture, Cpt, Phlebotomy certification, Specimen processing

Qualifications:

CPT 1 License

Must be computer savvy - must have experience with a lab system (ie Cerner)

• At least six months but prefers one year of experience in an acute or sub-acute setting and infant draw/neonatal experience. Hospital experience is a PLUS.

• Experience with pediatrics

• Outpatient (LabCorp, Quest, etc.) setting experience -must be able to draw 45-55 patients within an 8-hour shift

• Inpatient (Hospital) setting experience- must be able to draw 20-30 patients within an 8-hour shift

• Excellent attendance and behavior record. Flexible on shifts and hours

• Able to travel on all locations within a region (delineating between North County and South County which has Central East and South "quadrants")

• The client is adamant they are not here to train candidates on how to do phlebotomy. Applicant venipuncture skills and knowledge must already be a given.

• Should have at least minimal experience with neonatal and pediatric draws on actual patients. Heel sticks done only during their phlebotomy class training is unacceptable.

• The client tends NOT to consider phlebotomists that ONLY have Physician Office experience- (Phlebotomist/MA) for their draw volumes in this setting is not high enough to keep up with our expectations.

• They will not consider previous employees that have been terminated.
