The Dewitt Companies International Household Goods Coordinator in San Diego, California

Our organization seeks to hire an International Logistics Move Coordinator to assist our transportation and logistics department with moving household goods and personal effects for government employees moving around the world. The salary range is $22 to $24 per hr. depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:

  • Plan, coordinate, and assist customers with their move of household goods and personal effects both imports and exports.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Organization: Key factor and function as the coordinator is the sole point of contact for every aspect of the move. Able to maintain a calendar in Outlook.

  • Manage a high volume of emails: Both incoming and outgoing. Ability to read, analyze and execute timely responses. Must be clear, concise and thorough.

  • Time management: Must have a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workload. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes within the workday.

  • Strong work ethic and work well under pressure.

  • Meet deadlines: Through efficiency and thoroughness; working with all parties who perform the work on your behalf.

  • Computer skills: Data entry accuracy is critical. Outlook, Access database, Excel, and Word at a proficient level.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Work in a Team environment.

  • Customer Service skills are a plus.

  • Transportation and moving experience required.

    MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in the Transportation/Moving Industry

  • Air and ocean freight experience is a plus
