Job Description

San Diego based Engineering firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for our wastewater treatment facility water/wastewater treatment facilities, NAVFAC and electrical utilities infrastructure. Y

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement instrumentation and control systems for wastewater treatment processes.

  • Develop and maintain PLC and SCADA systems.

  • Perform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance.

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of control systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.

  • Provide training and support to facility staff on control systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, preferably on industrial facilties.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming and SCADA systems.

  • Strong understanding of process control principles and instrumentation.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: $110,000 to $140,000 per year.

  • Work Site: In office Mon-Thur, Friday remote,
