BAE Systems Facility Administrative Support in San Diego, California

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing facility management and administrative program support for the Waterfront Support Team office located on Naval Base San Diego CA.

This role requires a high level of professionalism as this individual is the first person all visitors encounter. Individual is responsible for controlling access and assisting with security of facility in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring facility residents and visitors are aware of and adhere to facility policies and procedures. Individual works under direction of Site Facility Manager and onsite security representatives.

Key responsibilities for facility management include:

  • Professionally manage all front desk responsibilities with greeting all visitors and accurately maintaining visitor logs and muster sheets

  • Manage facility seating for visitors ensuring all work areas have functional, working IT connections

  • Assist with management of facility security and access badging requirements by issuing new access badges, assigning and tracking access levels, and generating access log reports, as requested

  • Manage facility operations by identifying and submitting all facility work requests; ensuring safety requirements are in place and adhered to; ensure licensing requirements are met, updated when necessary, and posted

  • Manage a variety of spreadsheets efficiently and provide weekly and monthly reports capturing details on all facility issues

  • Assist all vendor deliveries and service provides required to access the facility

  • Ensure facility is compliant with Security, Safety, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Environmental, and emergency/disaster/civil requirements

Administrative support to onsite program leads, management, and all facility team members include:

  • Provide office administrative support for entire waterfront support office; such as, preparing office supply orders, maintaining inventory reports, compiling documentation/presentations, and/or providing copy/print/scanning support

  • Serve as shipping and receiving agent for San Diego Facility

  • Manage deliverables accurately with on-time delivery of various BAE customer reports and contract deliverables; maintaining archives when required

  • Provide other administrative tasking in support of project/program requirements

The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $22.40/hr.

This position is located in San Diego. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School Diploma and at least 1 year of related work experience

Ability to interface positively with a diverse population

Ability to work independently and proactively in providing professional high quality support

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Prior experience in customer service roles

Pay Information

This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
