job summary:
The contractor will perform support tasks related to research operations for External Research Solutions (ERS), including activities that support ERS business (sourcing, working with contract research organizations (CROs), communication, and continuous improvement), budget tracking, chemistry applications and operational support and other research operational support. This position will work in a matrix with other members of ERS in the US and Asia.

responsibilities:
Provide research operations support for ERS team and find creative solutions and efficiencies
Write standard operating protocols (SOPs) for various sourcing operations under ERS colleague's guidance
Data tracking and analysis
Coordinate sample logistics across multiple sites or with external partners
Issue POs and track assigned budgets across the company portfolio
Track and maintain FTE mapping at CROs, database entry
ERS BT tools point of contact, testing, issue resolution, working closely with ERS colleagues on developing/testing upgrades and bug fixes
Preparation and presentation of CRO key performance indicators (metrics), including compound flow, cycle time, and reaction number analysis
Day-to-day operational and customer support for company's chemical inventory (NeatStore)
Business support/Administrative activities: Organize meetings over multiple time zones globally
qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Strong process/workflow/operations support, logistics, tracking
Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and handle different types of responsibilities/tasks with supervision and guidance
Prior experience managing timelines and deliverables for key project or initiatives
Customer-focused and solution-oriented and adaptable to new processes, responsibilities and organization changes
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Spotfire, remote desktop
Familiar with, or ability to quickly learn, company's medicinal chemistry applications, such as Ariba, Mattrack, Electronic Notebook (Signals), GCSW, CART, d360, PCAT, PLP etc.
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Work locally and remotely across the globe
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Science/Chemistry
Familiar with, or ability to quickly learn, medicinal chemistry applications, such as Ariba, Mattrack, Electronic Notebook (Signals), GCSW, CART, d360, PCAT, PLP etc.
