SOLUTE Careers 1343 - EWTGP Training Specialist in San Diego, California

Sigma Defense is seeking a Military Veteran with extensive training, planning, and development experience within an integrated Navy/Marine Corps training environment to fill the role as a Training Specialist as part of the N9 team at Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific (EWTGP).

The ideal candidate is a graduate of the Navy and Marine Corps basic instructor course and has performed as an instructor with Expeditionary/Joint Fires specializing in curriculum development and administration. Experience with Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) and Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) is a must.

Requirements

  • Must possess extensive USMC and USN instructor knowledge based on a background which includes graduation from the Navy and Marine Corps basic instructor courses and curriculum development courses; and must have extensive experience working with curriculum in an integrated Navy/Marine Corps training environment.

  • Must have performed as an Instructor with Expeditionary/Joint Fires experience with the following specialized experience: Curriculum Developer, Curriculum Administrator, and Instructor.

  • Must exhibit the ability to enter curriculum into the Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) and the Marine Corps Training Instructional Management System (MCTIMS) authoring systems.

  • Must exhibit the knowledge and ability to train military instructors in the use of command directed authoring systems (AIM/MCTIMS).

  • Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology on Programs of Instruction

  • Must possess the ability to represent the command at various conferences and meetings on matters under the cognizance of the N9 Learning Standards Directorate and in support of the command mission and goals.

  • Must possess the ability to operate independently, planning, scheduling, and executing projects and programs, and must have the capability to deliver professional, complete, accurate, and standardized instructional products.

  • Must possess the ability to translate tasking into specific actions and execute them in a manner that achieves the objectives within scheduled guidance; must possess the ability to perceive emerging problems and have the initiative and knowledge to take appropriate action.

  • Must have the ability to enter data and run reports from Navy and Marine Corps training databases (Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARs) and MCTIMS).

  • Must be able to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft (less than 5% of the time and most often (but not always) within a 50-mile commuting distance to support training at bases within the Southwest region.)

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
