Position Description

Join our team today as a Business Development Director/Navy based out of ourSan Diego, CAoffice in support of our Systems Integration and Installation (SI2) Business Unit , reporting to our VP Business Development. In this role you will:

  • Conduct opportunity research and qualification, lead capture and pre-proposal activities and arrange / coordinates business development reviews supported by Corporate Leadership.

  • Be responsible for development and implementation of an integrated action/contact plan based upon capture analysis. This includes aiding in all required pursuit planning and ensuring opportunities are accurately tracked in the pipeline management system.

  • Supports and informs proposal reviews, leads proposal solutioning, supports pricing analysis, and coordinates with Technical Subject Matter Experts to develop strategies and technical content.

  • Leads win theme development, develops, and maintains a detailed capture plan and provides capture status updates at gate reviews.

  • Contribute to and/or lead various corporate Business Unit campaigns aligned towards strategic pursuits and support strategy expansion beyond current support areas.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

  • 10+ years’ experience working within the Navy contracting and technologies arena

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Defense Acquisition lifecycle

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders in a collaborative environment

  • Secret clearance or clearable

Desirable qualifications to include:

  • Multiple years developing, implementing, and executing effective capture strategies for target growth areas

  • Knowledge and networks within Navy Program offices and Warfare Centers

  • Experience maintaining a continuous $200M+ pipeline

  • Demonstrated success leading and achieving growth for an organization

  • General experience in technology development, implementation, and/or execution of strategy

  • Working knowledge of Navy C4ISR systems, technologies, integration and installations

  • Experience developing pipelines for a large mix of customers

  • Diverse experiences which can be leveraged to achieve greater market engagement opportunities

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary for this role is $146,218.80 per year to $292,437.60 per year; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
