What you'll be doing:

Ideal candidate possesses the ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English, both in oral and written form. Must have interpersonal skills with focused attention to Member and guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts. Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards. Maintain consistent adherence to Fairmont Grand Del Mar Guest Service Standards. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Maintains complete knowledge of all Club Member benefits and privileges, resort features, services attractions, amenities, locations and hours of operation, menu price range, dress code and ambiance, all hotel room types, numbers/names, amenities, local events, attractions, holiday schedules.

  • Focuses on Member recognition and relationship building, acting as a Club Member ambassador for Fairmont Grand Del Mar and The Club at Grand Del Mar.

  • Anticipates Club Member’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Club Members and guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

  • Maintains positive Club Member and guest relations at all times by resolving complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction by both Club Members, guests and colleagues alike.

  • Works in an appropriate non-hazardous manner avoiding self-injury and unsafe work methods.

  • Maintains a professional and kind manner at all times while representing Fairmont Grand Del Mar and The Club at Grand Del Mar.

  • Maintains complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

  • Assists with maintenance of Club Member web site, creation of Member email communications, Club event marketing, and Membership administrative duties as assigned.

  • Sales and administrative support, including scheduling Club tours with prospective Members, processing new Memberships, and maintaining accurate Membership rosters and reports.

  • Provides personalized service to Club Members, and assists in booking arrangements around the Club, including but not limited to tennis, pickleball, kids club, dining reservations, and spa services.

  • Performs any other related duties as assigned.

  • Meet departmental standards.

  • Provide a service or assistance to meet the needs of a Club Member, guest, client or customer.

  • Comply with policies and procedures of the department or section in order to complete service satisfactorily.

  • Possess skills to expedite clerical processing, perform a service, evaluate information, and take action based upon information to complete a task or assignment or activity.

  • Completion of a task or assignment requires use of equipment, tools or systems related to the proper performance of the service. Provide a service for others, and provide expertise based on information keyed, gathered, studied, processed or reviewed.

     

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least 1-3 years previous experience in a luxury resort or private club environment.

  • Skills preferred are Bachelor’s Degree, type at least 45 wpm and have a polished professional appearance.

  • Exceptional communication skills and be able to work in a high volume luxury resort and Club setting. Provides information to all Club Member inquiries and coordinates all Club Member requests by creating a meaningful itinerary for special arrangements or services in an efficient, professional and warm manner.

  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

  •  Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.

  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with Club Members and guests in a congenial and polite manner.

  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.

  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

  • Must be able to occasionally move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 45 pounds.

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.

  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.

Additional Information

Hourly rate of pay: $23.34
