Job Information

Actalent Civil Designer / Drafter in San Diego, California

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Preparation of various official survey documents: Record Of Surveys, Corner Records, survey plats, boundary adjustment plats including but not limited to, lALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, Right-Of-Way maps, easement, dedication and vacation, and annexation plats;

· Preparation of survey calculations for construction staking from civil engineering and architectural plans;

· Perform survey calculations and preparing survey drawings from recorded maps, easements, and grant deeds;

· Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete a drawing set;

· Applicants must be competent in manipulating point data and styles, and must be able to modify styles in Microstation/Open Road™ and Civil3D™

· Work collaboratively with other CADD operators in reviewing completed work products to ensure quality; and Assist Project Managers and Field Crew as needed

Job Qualifications:

· 1- 5 years of full-time experience preparing survey CADD drawings.

· Equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the prerequisite knowledge, skills, and abilities, including those described above .

· Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D (release 2015 or above)

· Proficiency in the use of Microstation

· Experience working with grading plans and architectural plans in support of construction staking.

· Experience in performing survey calculations and preparing survey drawings from recorded maps, easements, and grant deeds.

· Experience using/incorporating land or aerial surveying/mapping data and files.

· Understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

· Good organizational skills, communication & team player
