Join Rady Children’s Cath Lab team as we prepare to move into our new state-of-the art Dickinson Image-Guided Intervention Center! Rady Children’s is the first to apply radiation-free MRI cardiac catheterization on the West Coast and offer children and families the first comprehensive pediatric image guided center in the country. POSITION DETAILS:

Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts

FTE: Full-Time, 80 hours per 2 week pay period

Location: Main Campus

JOB SUMMARY:

Cath Lab Tech Performs all aspects of physiological monitoring, recoding and calculations for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures done in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Responsible for all radiographic procedures and their quality control in the lab. Assists physicians as a scrub technician during cardiac catheterization procedures. Assists with equipment and room setup for appropriate patient age and size. Assists with preparation of patients for cardiac and non-cardiac procedures. Appropriately preps and drapes patients and sets up procedure tables. Acquires and maintains technical skills required to function completely and assist in a variety of cardiac procedures. Assists with staff education by presenting scrubbing techniques and annual procedure/device competencies. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age specific to patient's needs. Selects radiographic factors to ensure the least amount of patient radiation exposure while maintaining established department standards of performance. Responsible for radiation protection of self, patients, and other patients care team members. Direct qualified physicians and support personnel in use of radiologic equipment Assists in inventory management by maintaining accurate records of supplies used in each procedure. Performs daily and weekly quality control checks of radiologic equipment and other quality control activities as requested. Maintains clinical competencies according to department. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department. Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy, cardiac pressures, and EKG interpretation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ARRT (Minimum)

BLS for Health Providers (AHA) (Minimum)

Cert Radiologic Technologist (Minimum)

Fluoroscopy License (Minimum)

H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent (Minimum)

1 Year of Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree

2 Years of Experience

The current salary range for this position is $51.20 to $69.79
