Description/Job Summary

Position: Customer Service Ambassador, Healthcare

FSLA Status: Non- Exempt

Hours: Thur, Fri 0601400 Sun, Mon 1400-2200

Site: San Diego, CA.

Pay: 21.00 hour

JOB SUMMARY: BCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Customer Service Ambassador to serve as an integral part of the security and care delivery team for a leading healthcare provider. The Ambassador serves as a professional, friendly, and informed first point of contact for all incoming site employees, members and visitors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel or departments if necessary.

  • Helps to control access to facility through the admittance process.

  • Acts as the site resource for client and visitor requests and services.

  • Take temperature checks of all persons entering the facility using handheld or

  • automated thermal devices.

  • Administers COVID screening questions.

  • Handle patient belonging deliveries to the medical units.

  • Push members in wheelchairs.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Provides assistance on the local surroundings area, including restaurants, convenience stores.

  • Communicates in a manner that is open, honest, and responsive in all situations.

  • Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to security personnel, client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.

  • Carries out tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned post.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer one year of healthcare experience or customer service experience.

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License (preferably with a clean driving record).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

  • The ability to maintain mental stability under periods of stress.

  • May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who.

  • are in or approaching an unauthorized area.

  • May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The duty of this job includes working in an indoor or outdoor environment, including possible exposure to deadly weapons, injury from violent persons, infectious persons, gases and fumes, blood and body fluids, hazardous chemicals, heat, wind, rain and cold; the employee must understand and demonstrate the ability to take protective actions, following established guidelines. The noise level can vary from extreme noise to extreme quiet.
