Girl Scouts is on a mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who will make the world a better place. For over 40 years, Girl Scouts San Diego’s Outreach team has been sharing the experience of Girl Scouts through the delivery of fun, educational, and engaging after school programs throughout San Diego County School Districts. Through these programs, girls gain skills that will empower them with the self-confidence they need to make positive health, education, and career decisions.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare and lead fun and engaging after-school programs and activities for groups of girls in grades K-5 under the following areas of focus; arts and humanities, STEM, life skills, leadership, health & wellness, community service, Financial Literacy, etc.

  • Empower girls to develop their leadership skills through engaging group activities that include; discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

  • Assist in planning and creating programs and presentations for community groups and organizations, when needed.

  • Must be available at least 3 days a week (Monday-Friday), between 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

  • Ability to work well with and engage youth in grades K-5

  • Responsible, organized, and creative

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly dependable and regular in attendance

  • Ability to lead age-appropriate songs, games, program activities, and group discussions

  • Able to monitor group behavior and resolve minor conflicts.

  • Reliable transportation and able to drive to/from assigned school or worksites.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

  • Ability to attain CPR/First Aid Certification
