Job Description:
The Construction Accounting Specialist will have a comprehensive understanding of financial management within the construction field. This role involves managing the accounts for multiple construction projects, dealing with subcontractor payments, maintaining contracts, monitoring budgets, and creating financial reports.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of accounting for construction projects.
Review and process accounts payables and receivables specific to construction projects.
Prepare financial statements and project-related financial reports.
Constantly monitor budget and report project's financial status to management.
Process payments for subcontractors and maintain insurance compliance.
Filing and recordkeeping of all relevant financial documents.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgeting and spending provision.
Requirements
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting preferred.
Thorough knowledge of industry-specific financial legal rules and processes.
Proficient with MS Office, Excel and accounting software.
Strong understanding of construction job-costing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in team and independent settings.
The duration for this contract role is (specify timeframe) with potential to convert into a full-time role based on performance and company's needs.
