Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Government editing technical or industry-based documentation.

  • Must excel in creating high-quality documentation.

  • Must excel at creating test documents, user manuals, and technical installation guides.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

  • Work collaboratively and independently with initiative.

  • Must be able to quickly grasp and implement technical concepts.

  • Must be familiar with Government System Operational Verification and Testing procedures.

  • Must be able to work well with other Engineering focus groups and personnel ranging from Junior to Chief Network, Systems, or Cyber Engineers.

  • Experience with ADNS, CANES, or CaaS is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field of study.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance.

  • A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)

  • Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.

  • Conduct research on Cisco or other related Network hardware components.

  • Conduct testing and regression testing on Government facilities.

  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with managers, peers, and customers.

  • Work collaboratively and independently with initiative.

  • Work with the necessary software and applications needed to develop technical documentation, including Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Create high quality documentation that helps users understand complex technical concepts or procedures.

  • Work closely with the engineering team, developers, and other Technical or Programmatic Leads to produce clear and concise documentation.

  • Edit and or produce user manuals, installation guides, and technical specifications.

  • Prepare, review, revise, and sustain technical ADNS documentation including that related to software, systems, and network engineering.

  • Assist with the development and modernization of Government systems, sub-systems, and components through engineering integrations.

  • Assist with the development and modernization of Government Networks via Software defined capability or similar engineering Intergrations.

  • Support improvement of WAN/LAN posture by leading Architecture research and design in support of current and future naval requirements.

  • Provide engineering change support to the In-Service Engineering Activity team via on-site services on equipment/systems to perform Cisco-based troubleshooting, identification of root cause and correction of other system-specific faults and failures.

  • Participate in numerous Network integration and testing support events within the Government test facilities in support of system interoperability.

  • Liaison with local lab managers and system administrators on the installation of the RDT&E network to include hardware purchase, baseline configuration, local system administration responsibilities and duties to maintain system compliance.

  • Liaison with local and Chief Engineers on testing and integration plans via Naval Fleet requirements.

  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually.
