Sigma Defense is seeking a self-directed and motivated Senior Network Engineer who will provide support to the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) Network in San Diego, CA.

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in DoD Network Engineering.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued TS/SCI security clearance.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering from a university or accredited college, or 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Certifications:

  • Hold active Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent level of vendor certifications.

  • Hold active CompTIA Security+ or CCNA Security, or higher certification. (e.g., CISSP)

Software/Programs:

  • An understanding of the use and configuration of encryption devices. (KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175GM)

  • At least two (2) years of experience with Cisco configuration of OSPF and static routing, mGRE Tunnel, QOS, DHCP, ACLs, IPSec. (as implemented with HAIPE devices)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite Products, and PC hardware architecture.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Configure Cisco C3850 and C9300 series switches. Configurations include Layer-2 and Layer-3 switch configurations. Maintain port security on all network devices and coordinate with local lab system administrators with deployment of new computers, VoIP, dVTC and sVTC devices.

  • Configure and maintain Palo Alto (PA-850) firewalls. Configurations include network configurations (V-wire, Layer-3 etc.), creation and maintenance of objects, zones and policy rules.

  • Configure and maintain TACLANE (KG175 series) devices. Configurations include network configuration, peer routes and keying devices. Familiarity with GemONE software is essential.

  • Liaison with local lab managers and system administrators on the installation of the JWICS network to include hardware purchase, baseline configuration, local system administration responsibilities and duties to maintain system compliance.

  • Liaison with DIA personnel on the activation and funding of VoIP, dVTC and sVTC devices.

  • Liaison with ONI personnel on the creation of network accounts and ensure compliancy standards are maintained.

  • Provide network engineering support to NIWC Pacific Code 875.

  • Responsible for configuring and maintaining Cisco network devices, Palo Alto firewall appliances and TACLANE (KG175) Type-1 encryptors on seven NIWC Pacific campuses.

  • Responsible for deploying and maintaining Cisco Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephones, Desktop Video Teleconference (dVTC) and Studio Video Teleconference (sVTC) devices.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,00 annually.
