ICU Medical Supervisor, HR Compliance in USA, United States

Position Summary The HR Compliance Supervisor is responsible for the management and administration of all Human Resources compliance related programs, including, but not limited to HR policies and procedures, immigration, external reporting, training, and state and federal legislative adherence. The role will ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures by delivering exceptional resources and tools to educate staff, streamline, and increase compliance with HR policies and procedures across the organization. The HR Compliance Supervisor will serve as the expert on all compliance-related matters.This role will also oversee the day-to-day activities of the HR Compliance team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Partner with third party vendors, HR, Legal and/or outside counsel to ensure the company’s human resources policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements. · Develop and implement HR Compliance Programs, Policies, and procedures such as: Background Check and Drug Screen Policies, Immigration, Credentialing Program, Form I9 and E-Verify, Sexual Harassment Training and Prevention, Affirmative Action Program, Annual Policy Attestations, Annual Motor Vehicle Record and Sexual Offender and Registry Screening Program. · Continuously evaluate HR compliance, processes, and policies for improvements, proactively developing and implementing practical solutions · Manage responses to internal and external reporting requests, audits and assessments, including state and federal reporting requirements: AAP, EEO-1, Vets 4212, CA DFEH Pay Data, and other BLS reporting inquiries · Provide guidance and support to Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Business Partners on compliance related matters · Oversee immigration process, including managing vendor relationship and resolving escalations · Use a data-driven approach, leveraging technology and available resources, to ensure efficiency and simplification · Provide consultative advice regarding the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures · Conduct policy reviews as part of the M&A integration processes, harmonizing policies and processes where appropriate, and partnering on communication, training, and change management initiatives with internal stakeholders · Stay abreast of Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations, ensuring that all Federal, State and Local required postings are available to employees · Participate in developing training programs related to HR policy, procedures and compliance initiatives, facilitating training when necessary · Partner with internal learning management group to ensure compliance with required trainings and dissemination/acknowledgement of required policies · Prepare reports and presentations on compliance activities for leadership as needed · Work on special projects as they arise * * Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications · Exceptional client relationship/partnership skills with the ability to communicate proactively and cultivate strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and across geographic regions. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey information to varying levels of employees · Strong project management skills and ability to drive projects and initiatives while translating business needs into process requirements* · Demonstrated project management skills and a successful track record for bringing highly complex, cross-functional projects to completion · Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities* · Strategic thinker with ability to translate and communicate strategy into practical application and measurable business impact. · Ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex problems. · Process and detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively · Self-directed, energetic team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment * * Education and Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent relevant work experience* · Minimum four (4) years of experience in Human Resources or a similar function with a strong background in policy and process development, and Human Resources compliance programs* · Strong knowledge of visas and prior experience managing immigration cases in partnership with external counsel* * Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with practical experience (multi- state compliance preferred). *Minimum Qualifications · Must be at least 18 years of age Travel Requirements · Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time Physical Requirements and Work Environment · This is largely a sedentary role. · This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. This role is based remotely; the incumbent may be remote in any state other than Colorado; California; Connecticut; Montana, Maine or New York.
