ICU Medical Prototype Assembler in San Clemente, California

Position Summary The Prototype Assembler is responsible for producing and shipping non-sterile product samples. * * Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Access the non-sterile work order queue in QuoteMaker · Assemble non-sterile prototypes according to the instructions and materials specified in each non-sterile work order · Maintain high standards of product quality in accordance with standard techniques · Monitor inventory levels of components used to produce prototypes · Replenish components in advance of stock outs to prevent late deliveries · Organize components for easy identification and use · Maintain a clean and 5S compliant work area for producing prototype samples · Alert management of current or potential problems related to inventory levels, production capacity, and proper assembly practices · Accurately label and ship prototypes · Ensure 100% compliance in the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) by all persons in the non-sterile sample assembly room · Work on special assignments as they arise Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications · Proficient in Word and Outlook · Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment · High level of attention to detail · Strong organizational skills * * Education and Experience · High School diploma required; a degree from a technical college is preferred · Strong understanding of the production process of medical assemblies · Experience with an ERP system Minimum Qualifications · Must be at least 18 years of age Travel Requirements · Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time * * * * * * * * Physical Requirements and Work Environment// · While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time · Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25 lbs. · This job may sometimes require the use of standard office equipment.
