Vicki's Little Rascals!

  • Rascal Ranch is a custom-built, secure five-acre playground that meets each of our Rascals' specific needs and personalities. Rascal Ranch is purpose-built for our employee/dog safety and happiness.

  • As a Rascal Rangler (Dog Daycare Attendant and Dog Transporter), you'll become an integral part of our team, getting to know the dogs, their pick-up routines, their favorite playmates, and your fellow team members. You'll have the opportunity to work with the same dogs every week, forming lasting connections and becoming part of their routine.

    Schedule:

  • Our operating hours are limited to 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and shifts are limited to 6.5 to 8 hours in length. We do not work evenings, weekends, or holi days.

  • We are currently hiring for two roles. Both require consistent availability:

  • Monday to Friday or  Tuesday to Friday.

  • You must have consistent availability. 30-40 hours per week.

  • For candidates with fence building, repair, and handiwork experience, we may have about 5 hours of optional additional work per month.

  • We also have optional house-sitting services, which can be an excellent source of supplemental income.

    Location:

  • Our ranch is located in Montara

  • Our company vehicles are located in Belmont and San Carlos.

  • We service Belmont, Burlingame, El Granada, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Millbrae, Montara, Redwood City, San Carlos, and San Mateo.

    Compensation / Perks:

    $21 - $22 / hour (staff will start at $21 per hour and move to $22 after a 90-day probationary period)

    $2350 - $3400 / month (depending on business needs and your availability/performance)

  • Paid on-the-job dog training, including Dog Handling and Pack Management, Dog courses, First Aid, and CPR certifications.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

    The responsibilities:

  • Safely transport dogs to and from their homes to our Rascal Ranch.

  • Ensure the dogs feel comfortable and secure during transportation.

  • Oversee off-leash play, promoting safe behavior and teaching doggy manners.

  • Observe and understand how dogs play and communicate, adjusting play groups to create a comfortable environment for both pups and the team.

  • Capture daily pictures of the dogs for their parents.

  • Provide an incredible five-star customer service experience for our member clients. 

  • Support teammates at the ranch and provide coverage when needed.

  • Maintain a high level of punctuality and excellent attendance.

    The ideal candidate:

  • Experienced driving larger vehicles or has driven professionally in any capacity. You would need to have at least three years of general driving experience. If you have ever driven for UPS, FedEx, Amazon, USPS, Uber, or Lyft, this could be an amazing experience for you! 

  • Prior professional or volunteer experience with dogs is appreciated, but a desire to learn is most important. Our learning is focused on dog health and safety.

  • Farm or ranch experience could excel in this environment—additional earning opportunities if you are comfortable performing fence building, repairs, and handiwork.   

  • We expect all staff to demonstrate exceptional attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

  • Positive mindsets with a ready-to-work attitude. We ask all employees to step up and contribute to our collaborative environment.

  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety protocols and time management.
