Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 20 years of experience leading UX for multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience being recognized as UX leadership for high quality design accomplishments leading to significant business impact on a highly used consumer application.

  • Experience creating, executing, and delivering against a product roadmap and driving business impact within a high level of complexity.

  • Experience building and leading top performing design teams.

  • Proficiency for empathetic, inclusive design that accounts for end-to-end user journeys which extend across a manifold of users, geographies, devices, products, and services.

  • Ability to influence and drive product direction with cross-functional stakeholders at the VP and C-suite level.

As the Vice President for User Experience, you will lead the design and research organization for YouTube globally. You will use your UX expertise to continue to innovate and push the bounds of what YouTube is - for creators, consumers and brands alike. You'll work cross-functionally with partners across product, engineering, content partnerships, finance, marketing, regional leadership, policy, and communications, among others.

In this role, you will combine your deep understanding of the user with business acumen and the ability to drive excellent product development. Your work will influence product strategy to ensure the future is a place where YouTube thrives.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Drive operational and executional excellence while leading creative thinking at scale across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices.
