Google Product Activation Manager, Responsibility in San Bruno, California

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

  • 2 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with database querying (e.g., SQL coding and analysis).

  • Experience working on spreadsheet analysis, presentations and data management, with the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally.

  • Experience in or passion for platform responsibility and addressing misinformation.

  • Structured problem-solving skills, combined with business acumen.

The YouTube Product Activation Team works closely with business and product leaders to develop, launch, and land YouTube products. The core capabilities of the team include designing go-to-market strategies, ensuring launch readiness, understanding needs of partners and creators to shape product roadmaps, collecting and synthesizing user feedback, and tracking performance.

Within the Responsibility team on YouTube Product Activation, we focus on driving strategy and operations to ensure that YouTube remains a safe, informative, and trustworthy platform for our users. We develop strategies and programs to raise high-quality, authoritative information and reduce harmful misinformation.

In this role, you will focus on global elections, general misinformation, and regulation, with an opportunity to expand over time to news, health, learning, and kids. You will partner with product, partnerships, and other cross-functional teams to implement solutions that address some of our pressing challenges in a dynamic, ever-evolving landscape.

In addition, you will be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. You will be able to take initiative, partner with executive stakeholders to think through strategic issues, and communicate effectively with global teams to drive significant initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop go-to-market strategy and readiness plan for election and misinformation products, including determining communication levers, coordinating support for viewers and creators, and drafting messaging.

  • Design and execute business strategies, including content acquisition agreement strategies with partners across multiple countries. Structure, track, and communicate workstreams with cross-functional teams and executives.

  • Shape product strategy and roadmap by analyzing and representing viewer/partner feedback and industry trends. Prepare effective presentations and written communications for senior executives and global teams.

  • Execute quantitative analyses (using SQL and spreadsheets) to translate large datasets about partners, products, and users into actionable insights.

  • Drive operational excellence, including setting and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and driving annual planning for responsibility verticals.
