Amergis Full-Time Special Education Teacher Positions for '24-'25 School Year in San Bernardino, California

Pay: 45-55/hr

As a Special Education T eacher, you'll work with students who have disabilities or special needs. You'll create individualized education plans, adapt curriculum, and provide support to help students succeed academically and socially. You'll collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential are key qualities for this rewarding role.

Teaching and Instruction:

  • Facilitating lessons for a small group of students both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Preparing and executing lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.

  • Assessing student work and adapting teaching methods accordingly.

Individualized Support:

  • Identifying and addressing the unique needs of each student.

  • Using specialized tools and equipment to create an engaging learning environment.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Working closely with other teachers, including the Class Teacher and Lead Teacher.

  • Updating parents on student progress and providing recommendations for home learning.

Creating a Supportive Environment:

  • Respecting students and treating them with dignity.

  • Designing activities that align with learning goals.
