To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Consider this role if you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This is a job where someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

  • Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

  • Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

  • Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

  • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • Partake in various department-wide initiatives

  • Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

  • Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Requirements

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Bank Account Reconciliation experience

  • Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Experience with GAAP Accounting

  • Solid understanding of month end closings

  • Adeptness in IFRS Accounting

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Detailed and have the ability work independently

  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

  • 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
