Job Summary and Qualifications
The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a smooth and effective method of moving patients from site to site when situations arise. Must maintain an excellent relationship between STRIC, its patients and Referral sources. Must have exceptional communication skills that will be understandable to all levels. Will schedule exams as needed.
Analyzes on a daily basis all facility schedules and is proactive in the event of double booking situations.
Plans for and implements a plan to eliminate any delays in care for our patients by coordinating the movement of patients from one location to another to facilitate their care.
Maintains an excellent working relationship with our referring sources and must be able to advise them of the need to move patients so as to not inconvenience but insure they are seen promptly.
Recommends new ideas for improvement in interdepartmental relationships and work processes within the call center to provide excellent customer service.
Escalates to Scheduling Supervisor any issues regarding customer satisfaction and team performance.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
High School diploma or GED
Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in radiology/scheduling setting. Must possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. A functional command of Spanish language helpful. A working knowledge of health insurance and government programs is required.
