WIS Merchandising Associate Job Preview

The Merchandising Associate provides support to projects for our customers in a variety of retail, grocery and warehouse environments. The Merchandising Associate performs tasks including but not limited to: reading and acting on plan-o-grams, merchandise/product relocation, cleaning and resetting of shelves/pegs, repositions/restocks new product, and replacing, cleaning or relocating shelf tags. They may occasionally work on setting new signage or displays, based on the needs of the customer and should be comfortable with following detailed instructions. This role may require teardown and installation of fixtures in renovation/remodel stores. The Merchandising Associate I embodies the company values of Service, Pride, Integrity, Results, Innovation, and Teamwork, customer obsession, and makes safety and security a personal mission.

Team Requirements

  • Merchandising, Reset or Retail experience preferred

  • Must be able to work the entire duration of project they are assigned, lengths vary

  • Experience working with planograms and identify and work with all components of a planogram in order to deliver excellence to each project

  • Proven ability to set and/or reset products and signage within the expectations

  • Effective customer relations skills meant to deliver exceptional service at all times

  • Must be willing to complete pre-employment investigative consumer report, pre-employment screening and/or Customer specific Certification program

  • A valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and/or meeting the Fleet driver requirements are required, as well as access to reliable transportation.

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Ability to work varied, traditional and non-traditional hours.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs., to stand for prolonged periods and the ability to use hands and wrists regularly including repetitive motions. It is also required to work in low-level positions, such as squatting, kneeling, or crouching, as well as frequent standing. Regular travel is required via plane or automobile, including overnight stays (up to 100% of the time)
