Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment. Preforms preventive maintenance and troubleshoots. Responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structure and utility systems, electrical wiring, heating, ventilating, plumbing, arc welding, brazing and machines. Investigates problems and makes repairs accordingly. Collaborates effectively with team members in all general maintenance tasks. Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards. Visually inspects and test machinery and equipment. Listen for unusual sounds from machine equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using previsions measuring instruments and hand tools. Lubricate and cleans parts. Test the performance of replaced parts by starting them up. Must be able to take accurate measurements. Mathematical knowledge to produce precision parts. May set up and operate machine tools. Knowledge of all safety protocols. Ensures that all operations adhere to safety protocols. Able to lift approximately 40 to 50 lbs.. May set up and operate lathe, grinder, welding machine and milling machine. May operate and use a scissor lift. Performs other assigned tasks and fulfills responsibilities as required/requested.
