Position

SAS has an opening for an Order Puller Lead that will be responsible for assisting in leading the designated department within the DC

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience with Order Pulling and Inventory

  • Work with management to develop short and long term strategies for warehousing within the department.

  • Communicate with Order Puller’s regularly to understand the opportunities for efficiencies as well as development plans.

  • Create and develop written procedures and training materials for the Order Pullers.

  • Coordinate and communicate with other department managers to identify and resolve operational issues.

  • Assist in managing employee hours to stay in compliance of company standards

  • Involved in all inventory opportunities within the department.

  • Willing to assist in all quarterly inventories

  • Direct and lead projects designated to the area of responsibility.

  • Must be willing to learn and assist in Pulling Orders as needed.

  • Must be experienced in leading groups to achieve company goals.

  • Responsible for Analyzing Data to assist in efficiencies.

  • Must be willing to walk and evaluate individuals with opportunities on achieving company goals

  • Able to assist in other departments or other areas of the warehouse as needed

  • Responsible to assist the Shipping Supervisor.

    Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to sit or stand/walk for 8 – 10 hours.

  • Ability to climb stairs as required.

  • Reach, stoop, and pull items 10 lbs above shoulder.

  • Must be able to work over time if required.

  • Repetitive hand and wrist extension and flexion to complete work load.

  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer, visual inspection, and prepare and analyze projects.

  • Physical labor is often necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including reaching, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, hearing and vision.

    Education & Experience Requirements

  • Some college or equivalent experience.

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and especially Excel).

  • Experience with ERP/MRP in a warehouse environment is required. (D365 is a plus).

  • Learn and understand the new ERP/MRP system in order to develop efficient and effective processes for Order Pulling and material handling.

  • Work with management and outside consultants to help coordinate the setup and operations of the new ERP/MRP system.

  • Experience with training and writing training documents.

  • Fluent in conversational Spanish is very helpful, but not a job requirement
