Insight Global Oracle ERP Technical Architect in San Antonio, Texas
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Technical Architect Staff-CFO Systems to act as a domain-level technical expert and advisor to our business stakeholders, IT leadership, Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architecture team. Key responsibilities include setting technology direction, ensuring project implementation compliance, and leveraging technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. This role ensures that the technical strategy and direction for USAA are identified, integrated across multiple business functions and technical domains, and aligned with USAAs mission, brand pillars, and strategic priorities. While the primary focus is on large-scale ERP systems and a strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes, this role will require close collaboration with the CFO, Corporate Systems, and our business partners.
· Collaborates with business and IT stakeholders to understand strategy, requirements, and risks for IT domains or business functions.
· Uses expertise to create technology decisions and roadmaps that enhance capabilities.
· Builds trusted relationships with stakeholders to guide architecture solutions and priorities.
· Assesses domain applications to identify strengths, weaknesses, and risks, advising on actions.
· Defines and documents architecture standards, using risk assessments to manage compliance.
· Supports the technology ecosystem through planning, reviews, and troubleshooting.
· Mentor new architects and engineers, fostering team redundancy and growth.
· Maintains architecture documentation and ensures timely deliverables.
· Establishes external relationships with industry and government contacts.
· Pursues professional certifications and contributes to industry knowledge.
· Manage business risks in line with compliance policies.
· Makes technical decisions and designs systems.
· Creates data flow diagrams.
· Conducts use case analysis.
· Reviews documentation to develop roadmaps.
· Makes decisions and recommendations based on the current state and future vision.
· Align technology solutions with specific needs.

Skills and Requirements
· 10-15 years of overall IT experience, including: (5 years as an architect) & ( 2 years in a technical leadership role.)
· Extensive experience with Oracle ERP
· Proven experience as an architect for large-scale ERP implementations, preferably SAP S/4HANA and/or Oracle Cloud.
· Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes, including industry-specific payment requirements and trends.
· Finance background required.
· Proficient in system solution design and strategic planning.
· Deep knowledge in at least one technology domain. (Eg. application, infrastructure, operations, scalability, availability, performance, people, process, and tooling perspective)
· Experience in technology application development and/or infrastructure implementation.
· Proven ability to explain complex technology decisions to all organizational levels.
· Strong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with SFOs and CFOs.
· Effective relationship-building with management and stakeholders.
· Understanding of technical architecture standards, principles, policies, and relevant regulations. · Expertise in designing scalable and efficient system architectures.
· Extensive experience leading large-scale implementations and transformations with integration platforms and related technologies.
· Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS. null
