Navistar, Inc. Maintenance Manager in San Antonio, Texas

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our maintenance team. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management of Navistar’s San Antonio Assembly Plant maintenance programs. This position will be responsible for salaried and hourly staff across the entire operation to include Facilities and Manufacturing.

The Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today’s – and tomorrow’s – customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, Navistar takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.

San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM).This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance Scheduling and Planning

  • Management all maintenance KPI’s

  • Downtime Reporting

  • Managing/Coaching/Developing direct reports

  • Planning for Daily, Preventive and Shutdown maintenance projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 8 years of maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years management experience

OR

  • Master's degree

  • At least 6 years of maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years management experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS)

  • Experience improving asset reliability through use of predictive maintenance sensors, industrial controls and business systems like EAMS and ERP software

  • Familiar with concept of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

  • Familiar with Environmental laws and reporting required for automotive industry manufacturing

  • Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA codes

  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility, preferably automotive or heavy industry

  • Track record of effective team member management
