Victory Packaging Machine Operator - 1st Shift in San Antonio, Texas

Career Opportunity:

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery (flexo folder gluer, rotary die cutter) and productivity, quality, and waste. They communicate effectively and in a professional manner verbally and in writing.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • How to set up, operate and monitor machine

  • Mount printing and cutting dies to cylinder/shaft.

  • Mix and adjust ink viscosity.

  • Responsible for machine output, quality, and waste

  • Follow all processes and procedures in place-along with safety rules and policies.

  • Performing quality checks for each order

  • Verification of material based on customer requirements prior to running.

  • Responsible for crew as a team to meet daily goals.

  • Serve as a team leader for crews in training processes.

  • Motivates team, uses good judgement, has a sense of urgency and is team oriented.

  • Adhere to production schedule.

  • Accurately record production data to computer daily

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and housekeeping.

  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting machine

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Ability to work 3rd shift- 7pm-7am

  • Two or more years’ experience as machine operator

  • Packaging or printing experience in Flexo folder gluer, rotary die cutter General fluency in English required, verbal and written.

  • Computer skills required.

  • Ability to read tape measure.
