PCSI General Maintenance Worker Camp Bullis in San Antonio, Texas

Description

PCSI is looking for a General Maintenance Worker at its San Antonio (Camp Bullis) Site! We are searching for a motivated, friendly team member to perform repair duties. The right person will have a proactive attitude and takes pride in their accomplishments. This position will report to the Project Manager.

Shift: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday, some Saturdays

What You'll Do as a General Maintenance Worker:

Assists in the accomplishment of minor building maintenance tasks which must be performed to proficiency and are listed

herein as examples, but are not limited to the following:

  • Minor adjustments and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, floor systems, light carpentry, and roof systems.

  • Cleaning and maintaining of mechanical rooms.

  • Preventative maintenance functions and minor repairs, including changing filters, cleaning cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, and changing fluorescent and other light bulbs.

  • Manufacture, repair, and installation of screens and glass.

  • Sign maintenance to include inspections, replacement (setting/affixing) and painting.

  • Ensure all paperwork is completed.

Work involves a variety of the following duties:

  • Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors

  • Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings

  • Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets

  • Painting structures and equipment

  • Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalk

  • Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles

  • Hanging doors and installing door locks

  • Replacing broken window panes

  • Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must have at least six (6) months of experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders. Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.

  • Required to be able to lift 50lbs up to 10 times per day.

  • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.

  • Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (prior government contractor experience preferred).

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installation, maintenance and repair.

  • Must have the ability to successfully complete all applicable training modules assigned.

  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.

  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.

  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.

  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
