The Opportunity

As a dedicated Financial Crimes Regulatory Compliance and Transformation Executive, you will be responsible for projects related to regulatory compliance and fraud transformation. This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Provides strategic leadership and management of direct and matrixed leaders responsible for the integrated work effort plan created to deliver the strategic vision of the program/project.

  • Leads teams of Program and Project Managers focused on key initiatives in functional area and serves as an integration point to support complex area-specific or Enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Leveraging existing change management routines, ensures proper change management is in place along with measures for success.

  • Participates in and leads components of on-going operational planning and may collaborate with other senior leadership or line of business stakeholders across business units.

  • Ensures the functional area’s participation in the communities for governed Enterprise positions such as Change Management Advisors.

  • Maintains current awareness of and communicates to their senior leadership or the EPMO developments, trends, and legal and regulatory changes in the Financial Services industry, including how they impact both new and current programs/projects enterprise wide.

  • Responsible for developing, tracking, and reporting on key metrics (i.e., deliverables, financials, duration, benefits) and communicating findings their senior leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders to influence internal project/program methodologies and approaches.

  • Adheres to EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools, and templates (as required)

  • Drives the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization in compliance with USAA’s Change Management methodology.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 10 years of experience in program/project management leadership, process improvement, and/or consulting for large strategic efforts.

  • 4 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams.

  • Executive-level understanding and experience with strategic-level change management.

  • Extensive experience delivering member or customer facing capabilities in a complex multi-channel, multi-product, integrated system environment.

  • Executive level experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.

  • Expert understanding and experience applying project management principles.

  • Expert in the full life cycle experience managing strategic and operational programs.

  • Experience on project and program management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management policies and procedures with experience identifying risks and key risk indicators and building processes and controls to solve for those risks.

  • Comprehensive understanding of USAA’s change methodology or commensurate industry change methodology.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience working with highly complex regulatory matters inclusive of executing against Consent Order or MRA requirements

  • Experience working with governance of Financial Crimes

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $158,960 - $303,830 .

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
