Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Field Engineer to join our team in the San Antonio, TX area.

This rewarding and challenging position supports the Department of Defense (DoD) to maintain a critical infrastructure system for a wide range of capabilities to improve cyberspace operations and defend vital U.S. national security interests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with operators, leadership, and developers to enrich the understanding between each party to enhance requirements and provide improved developer solutions for the customer.

  • Provide standard and in-depth field training for customers and new team members.

  • Provide expertise in support of the DevSecOps for Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO and Information Warfare (IW) capability and development and mission execution.

  • Support CI/CD pipeline processes, installations, and troubleshooting.

  • Take self-initiative to remain knowledgeable and practiced in emerging technologies and trends.

  • Troubleshooting complex systems with knowledge in the following areas: log analysis; database queries; docker containers; VSphere; Active Directory; Linux; Secure Communications; IAVAs; and Windows

Basic Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 IAT IA Systems Engineer II or greater certification. (Or able to acquire it within 6 months of being hired).

  • Intermediate programmer/developer experience for IT Ops container/docker trouble tickets, accounts.

  • 5+ years of software development with a minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with C/C++ programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Linux.

  • Demonstrated experience understanding and troubleshooting data flow issues.

  • Demonstrated work experience with Python, GitLab, Jenkins, and JavaScript.

  • Demonstrated work experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

  • Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) certification.

  • Linux, Security, or Networking certifications.
