SUMMARY

The F-16 Maintenance Supervisor plans and directs maintenance operations and ensures policy and procedures are followed to achieve established goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and assign program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts of workers performing aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modifications.

  • Maintain knowledge of supply procedures, and Service Bulletins/Letters and Airworthiness Directives.

  • Must be highly proficient in using technical data and drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.

  • Must have knowledge of F-16 aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

  • Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.

  • Candidate must be knowledgeable in F-16 aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement.

  • Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The below additional requirements apply to this position.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must meet one of the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance

  • An Associate's degree plus 6 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance

  • High School Diploma plus 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance

  • At least 10 years working F-16 aircraft experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations.

  • Must have leadership experience in an F-16 aircraft maintenance environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.

  • Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms

  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday

  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
