SALT LAKE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Technician 2, Financial Aid in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The primary role of a Financial Aid Technician is providing students, parents, and staff with accurate and helpful information about the financial aid processes.

This position requires the following customer service skills, a willingness to listen carefully, above average written and verbal communication skills, the ability to understand complex financial aid processes, and working well under pressure. In addition to providing information about financial aid, this position assists students in submitting the FAFSA and uploading requested documentation. Interactions with customers via the phone, emails, or in-person.

Hours for this position are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 am -- 4:30 pm. Wednesday 10:30 am -- 7:00 pm.

Provide students, parents, and staff with accurate and helpful information about the financial aid processes.

Customer Service functions: Explain financial aid policies and procedures; assist students and others at Financial Aid Office front desk; answer telephone and email inquiries; assist students and staff with financial aid problems and concerns; refer students and others to proper offices or persons for assistance.

Clerical functions: Assist students in submitting the FAFSA by uploading requested documentation and entering student data on computer systems, and imaging documentation.

Other duties as assigned.
