Reporting to the Superintendent - Operations, you will be: *  Ensuring a high level of leadership in safety standards and procedures * Executing mine production plans in a safe and cost-effective manner to ensure targeted quantities are consistently delivered * Responsible for the allocation of operational resources and directing work of outside consultants and contractors * Responsible for ongoing training, safety compliance and departmental scheduling and productivity * Communicating with multiple stakeholder groups working in and around the mine facility * Contributing to the continuous improvement of the mine and lowering of costs by identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation About You To succeed in this role, you will have: *  A high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred * 3+ years of experience in mining, processing, manufacturing or a related field * Ability to lead and prior experience leading medium to large teams * Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills * Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels It will also be beneficial if you have: *  Drilling and/or Blasting knowledge/experience (highly regarded) * Prior supervisory experience in mining operations and/or exposure to mine planning systems * Intermediate computer competency (Excel, Word, SAP, etc.) What we offer We are committed to providing our employees with a generous benefits package.
