Job Description:

Supervises individual(s) typically consisting of MFG assembler, technicians, and other support level employees. Leads, directs and reviews the work of direct report(s) to maintain workflow and productivity and ensure weekly objectives are achieved. Provides on the floor engineering and technical support to the operators, and particiaptes in continuous improvement initiatives. Provides input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for own organization. Reports to Associate Manager or higher. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and technical knowledge of product/process requirements and customer demands

Essential Functions:

  • Determine root cause of failures and drive corrective actions

  • Collects quality related data and offers corrective action(s) to help eliminate future defects from occurring

  • measures performance against process requirements and provides coaching

  • Participates in process improvement activities

  • Provide direction on workload and job assignments

  • Explains and interprets policies, practices and procedures of the area of responsibility to others within the organization

  • Coach and mentor support level employees using established guidelines, procedures, policies and training

  • Understand basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

  • Demonstrates ability to comprehend schematics, wire lists, wire diagrams, and blueprints

  • Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements

  • Due to the nature of our work, this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

  • Able to lift 40 lbs, work with and around chemicals, and with small parts using magnification

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability and qualifications to build cable harnesses to drawing and workmanship requirements

  • Knowledge of cable manufacturing techniques and IPC/WHMA-A-620, class 3 workmanship requirements.

  • Advanced technical and operational knowledge and experience of manufacturing of highly technical devices.

  • Experience with SAP ME, SAP ECC and Teamcenter.
